Absolutely not. We work with Brokers on occasion, to gain access to specific opportunities, but we prefer to speak directly to you as the owner. Brokers charge you an unreasonably high fee, often provide incorrect advice and can actually make the sale a much harder process.
We buy businesses directly, we are the buyers and the end-owner. If our discussions lead to misalignment, we can offer consultative advice on selling your business, in the right direction.
There are a multitude of factors that contribute to a valuation, and this varies between sectors and locations. We will base it off net profit, staff structure, client retention, recurring income, growth potential, client types and brand/reputation.
We also look at the wider market conditions when valuing, and how your specific business fits into that context.
You have been emailed because you fit our initial criteria. Our research and shortlist process will have identified you as a “Company Of Interest”. We do reach out to multiple companies, but it is not a generic email to 1,000s of people. It is targeted based on our research, however we can’t see a lot of information about companies in the UK – which is why we encourage an initial call.
Absolutely. Confidentiality is of utmost importance, we know our discussions can be sensitive. We will only communicate with you, or anyone you designate. We will sign NDAs prior to or after our initial discovery call. All information is stored securely and anything you share stays strictly between us.
