What we collect
- Contact details you give us: name, email, phone, business name.
- Business information you enter in the valuation tool or portal: figures, answers and your own estimate.
- Documents you upload to your private portal, such as accounts and contracts.
- For investors: your company, investment criteria and contact details.
- Messages you send us, and questions you ask the website assistant.
- Basic technical data needed to run and protect the site, such as IP address for rate limiting.
How we use it, and our lawful basis
- To give you your valuation estimate and send you a copy (legitimate interests, and steps you ask us to take).
- To review your business, ask follow-up questions and discuss options with you (steps before entering a contract; legitimate interests).
- To contact you about your result, only if you tick the box to agree (consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
- To match reviewed businesses with investors' criteria. Investors first receive an anonymous summary only. We do not share your name, business name or documents with an investor without your agreement and a signed confidentiality agreement.
- To keep the site secure and meet legal obligations (legal obligation; legitimate interests).
Who sees your data
Only the Eleys Acquisitions Group team. We use service providers to host the site, send email and, if enabled, to answer assistant questions with AI. They process data on our instructions. We may share information with professional advisers, such as accountants, under confidentiality, to help review your business. We never sell your data and never make your documents public.
How long we keep it
Valuation enquiries: up to 3 years from your last contact. Portal accounts and documents: while your account is open and up to 6 years after a deal completes, for legal records. You can ask us to delete your data sooner, subject to legal requirements.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or move your data, object to processing, or withdraw consent. Email [email protected]. If you are unhappy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
